Hourglass
dulcimer. Sassafras body, spruce soundboard, scroll head
- TMP018
Jeff Gaynor, of Noteworthy Woodworking in Ohio,
builds mountain dulcimers that have the volume to hold
their own in a bluegrass jam, and also to be heard by
others while playing delicately. This wide dulcimer has
a 27" fret scale in a Teardrop - Cherry and Spruce.
The lap dulcimer is made of solid wood. Sound boards
are of Sitka Spruce or Western Red Cedar, and include
Grover enclosed tuners to ensure long, trouble-free
service. Lap dulcimers are available in hourglass,
willow leaf, and teardrop shapes as well as custom
shapes and sizes.
