The T K O'Brien dulcimers come with many choices of
wood for the soundboard and many different soundhole
designs. Other than the soundboard, Walnut Creek
dulcimers are made entirely of walnut. The tops and
backs are bookmatched.
Choices in soundboard wood are Walnut, Redgum, Cherry,
Sassafras and Mahogany. Sometimes available are Spanish
Cedar, Lyptus, Purple Heart, Lacewood, Panga Panga,
Bubinga and Wenge.
Soundhole choices include Hearts with leaves, Doves with
leaves, Bluebirds with leaves, Hummingbirds with leaves
and Deer with leaves.
The fretscale is 27 1/2" and includes a 6 1/2 fret. The
dulcimers come with 4 strings set up with a double
melody string, but the nut and bridge is
also notched for 4 string equidistant setup.
Includes flat padded bag, instruction book, pick and
noter.
